Aigle set for UK retail debut via pop-up

French heritage brand Aigle is to open its first European pop-up shop next week in Covent Garden, London.

The brand will open the 925 sq ft two-floor pop-up in Covent Garden’s Piazza on November 5. It will also represent the brand’s UK retail debut.

The store design will be based on Aigle’s first pop-up shop, which opened in Hong Kong in April, and includes a bespoke Boot Bar selling the brand’s handmade rubber boots, for which it is best known.

As well as the Boot Bar, the shop will stock Aigle’s autumn 11 men’s and women’s footwear and clothing collections and will remain open until January 2.

To coincide with the opening, Aigle will also be sold for a limited time in directional menswear indie Present in Shoreditch, from tomorrow until November 14.

Present will carry a selection of the brand’s autumn 11 menswear, plus men’s and women’s footwear, and will create a Guy Fawkes Night-themed Aigle window display.

  • Not quite its debut, having opened on Regent Street in approx. 2000 for some years before becoming REISS, but hopefully a standalone store for the brand will work this time!
