How was trade over Christmas and New Year?

It was very good. I surpassed our expectations. We wanted to achieve what we did last year and we did - with a slight increase.

Are you on Sale at the moment? Yes, we started on Boxing Day and I anticipate we will finish early February. We started with an initial reduction of 30% and we’ll probably go down to 50% later in January.

What challenges will you face in 2011?

Our main challenges will be consumer confidence and the growth of web-based businesses like Asos, which will no doubt get stronger. However, I’m confident because the brands we stock are in high demand.

Are you introducing any new brands for autumn 11?

If anything we’ll consolidate slightly by looking at the past performance of the brands we stock. We won’t buy into brands that have performed poorly and that budget will move over to brands that are performing well.
