Blue at The Loft in Bath

Chosen by James Preston, head of sales at Janet Thurston and Mary Skinner Agency

Combining a progressive and quirky fashion offer, stunning homewares and gorgeous flavours of Tuscany at in-store Café Lucca, The Loft is a concept store rarely seen in the UK. For me it has reignited my passion for retail and the shopping experience. Call me an old romantic, but isn’t this what it’s all about?

In these austerity times it is such a thrill to know there are people like owner of Blue at The Loft Suzanne Temple who are still willing to take risks, and in doing so her unique vision has created destination shopping at its very best.

Blue at The Loft [the fashion section of the shop] offers an eclectic mix of womenswear labels that you won’t find on the high street. It is forward thinking and serves its customer well. The experienced team provides a personal and knowledgeable service that keeps the customers coming back for more. That’s if the film noir cinema screenings don’t do it first.

When the buzzword these days is ‘online’, what a pleasure to be able to enjoy such a tangible, sensual experience in a friendly environment.
