Boudiche bought out of administration

Scottish knitwear designer Belinda Dickson has bought the Boudiche name out of administration for an undisclosed sum.

The Scottish designer lingerie indie fell in to administration in June. Dickson has acquired the stock and website but not taken the Edinburgh or Glasgow stores.

Dickson, chief executive of BJD Design, which owns cashmere label Belinda Robertson, was due to open a pop-up shop in Glasgow as Drapers went to press. The website will also be revamped.

Boudiche was founded by Clare Thommen and Fiona McLean in 2005, but hit the buffers in June after it failed to secure funding for future growth and sales dwindled during the recession.
