Browns Focus in central London

Chosen by Ben Grimes, designer of womenswear label LP.BG.

I love Browns Focus. It was the first shop to support LP.BG. The owners are forward thinking and have a long history of supporting up-and-coming designers. The press department is great too and really helps promote its designers. The store stocks a broad range of labels and doesn’t limit itself to one look.

The first time I went, I noticed the interior design really stood out. Because it’s dark and quite shiny it gives a great backdrop to the clothes and allows them to speak for themselves. I also love the great accessories display boxes.

The staff are really welcoming but there is no pushiness and it has a really loyal customer base because of that.

The prices at Browns Focus are great. They range from £100 to thousands, but overall it’s quite accessible.

The buyers are lovely people who have a real passion for fashion. They take a real interest in every designer they stock and strike up relationships with them, which is refreshing.
