Carl Peddie calls for entries to third charity golf day

Carl Peddie, the co-owner of Midlands mini-chain Diffusion, is calling for entries to the third annual charity golf day in memory of his sister Jannine.

This year’s event will be held on September 13 at South Staffordshire Gold Club in Wolverhampton. All proceeds go to the Compton Hospice, which cared for Jannine during the last days of her life. Last year’s event raise more than £8,000.

Interested golfers are invited to enter a team but non-golfers are also welcome to join the evening presentation and meal.

For those unable to attend, there are also opportunities to donate prizes for a raffle and auction.

Peddie, who has recently been made a non-executive director of the charity’s trading arm, which includes 23 shops, said: “My involvement has given me the opportunity to see at close quarters the tremendous amount of hard work that is needed to keep this machine turning, and as a result is driving me on to do what I can to continue to support this incredibly well deserving charity.”

For more information contact Carl Peddie or, alternatively, make a donation to Compton Hospice via www.justgiving.com/diffusiongolf3.
