Cocaranti looks to fill a gap in Cheshire

A new contemporary womenswear retailer has opened in Cheshire, focusing on denim and casualwear and boasting a personalised denim fitting service.

Cocaranti launched in Knutsford two weeks ago. The 430 sq ft indie sells 12 premium denim, casualwear and accessories brands including AG Jeans, American Vintage, Current/Elliott and Feel The Piece.

Owner Lucy Willder has identified a further four brands – Iro, Mother, Velvet and Wildfox – for spring 13 and is looking out for more labels to add to the line-up in autumn 13.

Willder, who previously worked in IT, plans to launch a transactional website in December.

She told Drapers she hoped to plug a gap in the market. “In the Northwest there isn’t really anything similar to the likes of Donna Ida and Trilogy, which are based in London.

“So far the reaction from people in the local area has been great.”
