Exclusive: Kit & Kaboodal shutters its stores

Yorkshire young fashion indie Kit & Kaboodal has closed its stores to become an online-only business.

The indie retailer, which had branches in Harrogate, Boroughbridge and Wetherby, closed its doors on its Wetherby store for the last time on Saturday after holding a half price closing down Sale. The Boroughbridge shop closed earlier on this month. It is not clear when Harrogate closed.

Kit & Kaboodal will trade online as well as at shows such as the East Anglian Game & Country Fair and The Hampshire Country Fair.

In a post on its Facebook page the owners said: “We are happy to announce that Helen, Laura and Naomi are all ready for a change. To that effect we will be closing our Wetherby shop this Saturday to pursue our new careers.

“We would like to thank all our lovely customers for their support over the preceeding years & wish all of you well for the future.”

The owners could not be reached for comment.
