Flannels ram-raided in Leeds

Premium indie mini-chain Flannels lost thousands of pounds worth of stock this week after its Leeds store was raided.

According to the Yorkshire Evening Post a gang in a stolen car ram-raided the store at around 11.15pm on Monday night. Stolen items mainly included jackets from premium sportswear label Moncler.

Flannels refused to confirm reports and would not issue any comment on the incident.

Earlier this year Sports Direct bought a majority stake in premium indie mini-chain Flannels for an undisclosed sum.

The sportswear giant, which took majority stakes in USC and Cruise last year, acquired a 51% stake in Flannels, which also carries brands including Dolce & Gabbana and Lanvin.
