Take a look inside the newly expanded interior of St Albans womenswear independent The Dressing Room.

The refit increased shop space from 1,500 sq ft to 2,000 sq ft. The store was officially opened on 3 September.

Owner Deryane Tadd, who founded the Drapers Award-winning retailer in 2005, said she had been thinking of expanding “for a couple of years”.

“It was becoming clear I needed more space, but I didn’t want to take on a separate site,” she said. ”We didn’t have too much room to work with but we managed to reconfigure and get the extra space in our current location.”

Brands stocked at The Dressing Room include American Vintage, Paul & Joe Sister and Muubaa, as well as denim from Current/Elliott, Paige Denim and J Brand.

Prices range from £35 for a tote bag to £360 for a jumpsuit.

The Dressing Room is at 6-8 High Street, St Albans.
