Owner of womenswear indie Sunday Best in Rawtenstall, Lancashire

Brands include Barbour, Maison Scotch, Pinko, Ruby Brown, Vila

How is trade at the moment?

It’s very busy - always a good sign. The new products in store are selling very quickly. Barbour is doing fantastically well and sales have increased over the past month. Oska and Religion are also hot right now.

Will you introduce any new brands for spring 11?

We’re introducing nine new brands, which is very exciting for us. Sandwich and Nelly stand out.

What will be your biggest challenge this year?

The launch of our website [on September 29]. We’ve invested a lot of money in an up-to-date site, which will use the same ecommerce platform as larger retailers such as John Lewis.

What is the biggest challenge facing womenswear indies?

It’s a dog-eat-dog world out there right now, so our main focus is on bringing in new and exciting brands. Indies need to think of new and unique ideas and bring different products to the store.
