The founder of maternity etailer Mama-La-Mode.com has created a wholesale babywear range for spring 12, which aims to provide stockists with flexible delivery.
The range, called Mini-La-Mode, comprises about 100 pieces for newborns to three-year-olds including romper suits, vests and dresses in a palette of pale pinks, blues and honeys with hints of royal blue and red. Wholesale prices range from £4 to £28. The range is 100% cotton and handmade.
Mama-La-Mode.com founder Fee Drummond said the brand offers both short and forward order. “Retailers are looking for flexibility,” she said. “We want them to be able to buy in, sell it well and then buy it in again. It’s really hard for people to think six to eight months ahead.”
The brand will target department stores and indies, sitting alongside Petit Bateau, Kissy Kissy and Darcy Brown, said Drummond.
Mini-La-Mode launches at kidswear trade show Bubble London on January 29-30.
