How is trade at the moment?

It’s been very busy, a lot busier than this time last year. We are in Sale now and that has really helped to drive footfall.

Have the earlier summer Sales had a negative impact on your business?

Sales do start earlier than they used to at department stores, but I don’t think they have too much of an effect for us as we have a loyal clientele.

How are you feeling about the autumn 10 selling season?

We are quite excited. We have made orders and some of the product is already in and looking really strong, so I think it will be a successful season.

Are you introducing new brands for spring 11?

We are bringing in Sahara because it fits well with our brand mix but has a very individual handwriting.

Do you have any plans to set up a website?

Yes, we are looking into it. We’ll definitely make it transactional as I think it’s important to have an online presence to stay competitive.
