How has trade been?

The past few weeks have been great. It was quiet at the beginning of last month, but now the students are back we’ve had a busy end of September.

What styles are selling well?

Wedged boots, ankle boots in biker styles and mid-high heels are doing fab. Our Moda In Pelle mid-height heels are selling really well.

Have you completed your spring 12 buying?

I’ve done 50% of it. I’ve only been to Pure London so far and I’ve picked up one new brand called Vanilla Moon, but otherwise I’ve stuck with the same brands so far including Ravel, Moda In Pelle, Hudson and Chinese Laundry. I’ll do the rest nearer January and February and pick up some in-season.

Did you learn any lessons from spring 11 that might impact your spring 12 buying?

I went too heavy on high heels so I’ll cut back on those.

What’s in the pipeline for your store?

We’re expanding our shoe party business from in the store into people’s homes.
