Chosen by Katie Brumley, UK country manager at accessories brand Konplott.
I consider it one of the perks of my job that I get to see most of the UK’s best cities and towns. One of my favourite places to shop has to be Chester. It’s one of the few cities which genuinely values its indies.
Set in one of Chester’s many beautiful historic terraces is Nichols & Co, a unique source for beautiful things including fashion and home accessories and some distinctive clothing collections, including lesser-known labels such as Ivan Grundahl, Elm Design and Hebbeding.
You always find too many things that take your fancy and the team have a very honest and helpful approach, which is underpinned by their very genuine and infectious enthusiasm for the product. It feels like the team is there just for you.
The shop is set over two levels and its simple, stripped-back interior acts as a warm, neutral backdrop to the collections on offer. Make a mental note of its newest edition, Jago scarves - a real must-have for when the cold winter weather arrives.
