Nicole Miller signs UK agent for Artelier

Womenswear agent M&L Harris has added US label Nicole Miller’s Artelier collection to its portfolio for spring 13.

M&L Harris, which is the first UK agent for Nicole Miller, aims to secure about 25 stockists for Artelier. Nicole Miller has about 10 stockists in the UK, including contemporary indies Question Air in London and Jane Davidson in Edinburgh.

“Artelier is a great dress collection at competitive prices, and it has six drops per season,” said M&L Harris sales manager Beverly Barnett.

Wholesale prices range from $120 (£75) to $200 (£130). M&L Harris will target mostly indies as well as some department stores, according to M&L Harris owner Liliane Harris. “It’s quite a trendy collection and very competitive [on price],” she added.

Laura Willis, assistant manager at Jane Davidson, said the brand had performed well so far this season and the store didn’t have many dresses left. “It’s a really good summer dress collection and their signature tuck dress does really well for us,” she said.

Last year, M&L Harris became the agent for MW by Matthew Williamson. Other brands in its portfolio include Paule Ka, Schumacher, Current/Elliott, Equipment and Yummie Tummie.

Harris also owns three-store London premium womenswear indie Larizia.
