Womenswear designer Richard Nicoll has joined with Vodafone UK to create a yet-to-be specified accessory, which will be unveiled at his autumn 12 London Fashion Week show.
It is part of a two-season partnership with the telecoms company.
Nicoll said: “We are planning an exciting technological challenge. I’m hoping what we produce will be both beautiful and functional.”
The designer will meet a number of competition-winning Vodafone customers backstage after the LFW show. He is also teaming up with the company for Vogue’s Fashion Night Out at Asprey, New Bond Street, on September 8, when as part of Vodafone VIP, customers will get the chance to attend. That night he will appear at Vodafone’s flagship store in the West End, where he will be personalising limited-edition products for Vodafone customers.
Nicoll said: “Fashion has a strong cultural influence in Britain so partnering with a brand as prevalent as Vodafone feels natural and directional.”
