York-based superindie Sarah Coggles has hired two new heavyweight directors and opened the doors on its London office.
Billie-Jean de Voil joined as marketing director last week, moving from Diesel where she was marketing manager for UK wholesale and 55 DSL.
Anna Beilby has been appointed as finance director from accountancy firm PWC, where she was a senior director. She will start at Sarah Coggles in two weeks.
Beilby and de Voil will work alongside former ASOS premium menswear buyer Adam Jagger, who joined Sarah Coggles as buying director last month.
The heavyweight appointments follow a multi-million pound deal in January which saw Pentland Group subsidiary Manchester Square Enterprises take an undisclosed stake in Sarah Coggles.
Co-owners Mark Bage and sister Sarah Marwood diluted their shareholdings in the business to raise the cash so they could finance expansion of the award-winning retail concept and web business Coggles.com.
Sarah Coggles chief executive Mark Bage said: “Sarah Coggles is a highly ambitious business and this was significant in their decision to join as well as our decision to hire experienced individuals from global brands to head up departments.
“I have no doubt that they will contribute significantly to the future success of the business”.
