Six Whiting Street in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk

Chosen by Grant Ashdown, founder and sales director of young fashion agency Two Agent See

Six Whiting Street really stands out for its strong, eclectic product mix. It has managed to secure some really strong brands and it displays them very well in store.

The ground floor has some great young fashion labels such as Lyle & Scott, Nudie and Franklin & Marshall. Venture upstairs and you’ll find premium labels such as Paul Smith and Hugo Boss. The breadth of choice is fantastic for a small town like Bury St Edmunds.

The building is incredible. I think it’s taken design inspiration from the Liberty department store in London. Six Whiting Street is a very old building with impressive architecture so provides a great showcase for the brands and there’s a huge, imposing old staircase that runs through the store.

It’s a fairly small store compared with those we see in London but it has made it seem almost like a mini department store because it has lots of individual rooms.
