The Hoxton Boutique

Chosen by Hannah Webster, marketing manager at women’s young fashion brand 18 and East.

Being a good ol’ East End girl, the indie I admire is Hoxton Boutique in Shoreditch, east London.

Situated on the corner of Hoxton Square and nestled between quirky bars, independents and galleries, Hoxton Boutique feels more likem a quirky art gallery space than a traditional fashion retailer, with mirrored walls, candy cane colours and quirky fittings.

The boutique showcases new and interesting designers from around the world alongside local design talent and a few vintage pieces. Its product mix is eclectic and beautifully chosen, with brands such as Kaori and Marimekko sitting next to local footwear brand Miista and the store’s own in-house label, +HOBO+.

The rails aren’t brimming with product, so it really is quality over quantity. I particularly love the extensive jewellery selection, which is a real treasure trove for both designer and costume jewellery, and is a really good place to buy something that is truly original.
