Two more Towie stars join womenswear label cast list

Amy Childs and Lauren Pope, stars of The Only Way Is Essex, are the latest members of the ITV reality show to launch their own fashion collections.

Childs, who was the face of lingerie brand By Caprice for spring 11, will launch her 20-piece The Amy Childs Collection for autumn 11 at the Britain and Ireland’s Next Top Model Live event at ExCeL in London, which starts today.

She will showcase the collection on the catwalk at the three-day event and it will then be sold exclusively via her website,

Childs told Drapers she had been involved in the design process but declined to say which manufacturer or brand she had worked with.

“I was able to say what I liked and didn’t like and made sure the pieces looked exactly how I wanted them to,” she said.

Victoria Beckham and Cheryl Cole were cited as her main style influences for the collection, which is predominantly made up of dresses.

Retail prices range from £29.99 to £80. Childs said she was planning to add leggings and trousers to the offer for spring 12.

Meanwhile, Childs’ Towie co-star Lauren Pope is creating a 20-piece collaborative spring 12 range with young fashion brand Little Mistress.

The range – Lauren Pope collection by Little Mistress – will be made up of daywear pieces including tea and skater dresses. Wholesale prices will range from £9 to £25, with deliveries arriving at stockists in January.

Towie stars Sam and Billie Faiers announced earlier this month that they were launching their own 40-piece young fashion label, which will initially be sold in House of Fraser and via their own Minnies Boutique store in Brentwood, Essex.
