Wolf & Badger gets off to a flier online

Designer indie Wolf & Badger’s transactional website has attracted 1,000 visitors a day since its launch.

Wolf & Badger launched its website,, in December. Co-owner George Graham said: “It’s a promising start. We sold more product online in the run-up to Christmas than after [Christmas], but that’s to be expected. We are now focusing on getting spring stock on the site and adding womenswear and menswear.”

Graham said overall sales at the Wolf & Badger store, which is located on Ledbury Road in London’s Notting Hill, had performed strongly since its opening last February.

He said: “Sales have been growing every month except August, which is always quiet for retailers. For 2011, we hope to continue this upward trend as more international visitors come to the store and more people discover us.”

Wolf & Badger showcases up to 70 emerging designers in its store and takes a commission on sales of its collections. Some 90% of each sale goes back to the designers, who also pay a nominal ‘rent’ fee to secure spaces in the store.
