Jigsaw brings 'Fifth Avenue' to St James's

Jigsaw has unveiled its second “emporium” concept in London’s St James’s Market development.

The 3,000 sq ft store has been designed by London agency Dalziel & Pow and offers the retailer’s full range of men’s and women’s clothing, alongside a shop-in-shop for sister business The Shop at Bluebird.

Jigsaw chief executive Peter Ruis said: “We set out to create a unique Jigsaw experience – the idea of a slick ‘Fifth Avenue’ store but with all the quirks and warmth normally associated with our brand. We wanted also to make a truly international statement, and St James’s Market will be incredibly visible as a tourist destination.”

David Dalziel, creative director at Dalziel & Pow, added: “We’ve had the great pleasure of designing three stores for the brand in the last two years, all very different but all very Jigsaw. It has a design philosophy that shines through all that they do.”

The new store also features a floating mezzanine, and contrasting layers of terrazzo marble and skimmed plaster.
