Premium footwear retailing at its best, with product head and shoulders above the rest.
Kurt Geiger wins on product this season. Not only is the retailer offering some of the best versions of till-ringing, trend-led styles on the high street, it is backing fresh styles like peep-toe bow-front heels in candy stripes and spots and ambitious khaki satin cage platforms. A peep-toe taupe shoe boot is high spec with a gold zip and delicate chain detail and sits on a gold platform. Kurt Geiger has the best selection of winter boots around including shearling and hiking-inspired ankle styles.
This store is undergoing some work on the frontage but the inside feels luxurious. Staff smiled and welcomed Drapers to the store, and one sales assistant expertly juggled the needs of two customers at once. The store is warm and comfortable and the background music is relaxing, so the shopping experience is a real pleasure. It’s good to see that some thought has gone into the creative merchandising with mannequin legs clad in hosiery.
At the back of the store is a mid-season Sale with tan platforms down from £100 to £69. As for full-price merchandise, Carvela courts are £140, while peep-toe shoe boots with chain detail are £170. Both are justified by the quality of the product.
