Kurt Geiger, 65 South Molton Street

Fashion footwear and in-store service at its best

Product 9

A smorgasbord of fashion-friendly occasion and day footwear is delivered with expertise by Kurt Geiger. A KG lilac suede court, a bold metallic range of Fashionista clogs and a pale pink and gold trim platform all stand out. Indian-inspired sandals by Carvela are beautiful, with chain trimming and silk-print fabric detail. Kurt Geiger nails the court shoe with its Eden style - a simple black almond-toe leather court with a slight patina, cut in the right place to elongate the leg.

Experience 9

This store exudes quality from every fixture, fitting and piece of footwear. Investment in compelling window displays also helps hammers home a message of exclusivity. The sales staff are leagues ahead of those in other stores and were knowledgeable about product. A size six style was requested and the sales assistant brought out half sizes either side just in case. She then stayed with Drapers and offered style advice and after-care tips.

Value 8

There is something for everyone here. Drapers was surprised at the levels of mark-down on certain styles, such as simple demi wedges cut from £70 to £49, but equally enthralled by the good value of new season styles. Branded ballet flats from French Connection and Miss KG summer sandals with pretty bows lining the toe post range from £25 to £30. Carvela and Nine West day flats and sandals are £70, evening styles push the £130 mark while Kurt Geiger fashion clogs come in at £160.
