Serves up an elegant collection of footwear, which could be broadened in size
Although the product mix is tight, LK Bennett picks its trends carefully and delivers compelling styles. A selection of jewel-tone, woven delicate strappy sandals sit elegantly alongside plum-coloured suede kitten heels with cutaway detail and a dramatically long last. A two-tone strappy sandal story sees snakeskin combined with blue and orange suede while gold meets fuchsia.
LK Bennett sells itself short with an offer that is too limited, although the store’s sparseness makes for a calming shopping experience. The store is white, clean and minimal and the bright summer product stands out. Suspended shelving featuring strappy suede sandals greets the shopper as they enter, while kitten heels are showcased on a low circular table.
Prices are expensive but justified by the quality. Half of the shoes on display are marked down though. Snakeskin mid-height heel courts are discounted from £170 to £110 and black demi shoe boots with a skin patina finish are knocked down from £195 to £155, which for a perennial favourite style of this quality is a bargain. Long-last kitten heels are £180 and LK Bennett is still managing to cater for the well-heeled woman who wants to look elegant in the office and stylish while out for lunch.
