Premium footwear staples are given a trend-led twist, topped off with excellent service.
LK Bennett is one of the more premium retailers Drapers visited, and we were pleased to see the high quality of product we expected. It’s not the most directional in terms of fashion-forward trends, but LK Bennett’s strength always lies in covering the staples, highlighted by its core Signature Collection. Courts, kitten heels and ballet flats all look good, coming in great quality suedes and leathers. These classic styles are also given a trend-led update with a selection of good seasonal twists, including faux-snakeskin heeled and platform courts, woven espadrille details and cork-soled wedges.
LK Bennett’s price points reflect the premium nature of the store’s product,
with £195 for the most on-trend woven espadrille-soled, high-wedge sandal topping most stores in the city. Ballet flats start at £85 and go up to £125, which is expensive but this is for a super-soft suede version that also has a leather sole and lining. They are pricey, but
they are also some of the best quality shoes we came across.
Considering the higher price points within the store, we were expecting a premium level of service and a pleasant store environment, and what we found didn’t disappoint. Friendly staff greeted us on our arrival in store and came back to ask if they could help a few minutes later. Drapers asked for ideas for a birthday gift for a female friend and the attentive staff were extremely helpful.
