Lipsy, the young fashion chain owned by Next, is to launch in the US next month in partnership with national department store chain Bloomingdales.
Lipsy will open shop-in-shops in three of Bloomingdales’ 40 stores offering most of the chain’s collection and will include signature dresses, smart outerwear, casual wear, exclusive collection VIP and Lipsy accessories within the offer.
The American deal follows hot on the heels of Lipsy’s recent collaboration with Brit Award-nominated singer Pixie Lott, whose “Pixie Collection” will shortly be launched in the UK exclusively through Lipsy’s retail space and via its website.
Lipsy is sold in Topshop and Selfridges in the UK and was acquired by high street fashion retailer Next in October 2008.
Lipsy chief executive Jeremy Stakol said of the US initiative: “We are delighted to be working with Bloomingdales on the launch of Lipsy into the US. We see this as the start of a long-term partnership.”
