Accessorize in nail bomber threat

Police have cordoned off Regents Arcade house, in Oxford Circus in London, after a man broke into Accessorize on Regent Street last night and threatened to blow himself up.

Witnesses, who work in the Regents Arcade House building, said the suspected bomber had scrawled ‘Nail Bomber’ across his front after breaking into the fashion acessories store at around midnight.

After police arrived at the scene, the man is understood to have held a stand off with negotiators for around five hours before being arrested.

Certain exits for Oxford Circus tube station were closed this morning and workers in Regents Arcade House had been told they would not be able to enter the building until at least 11am. It is understood the police were still searching the rest of the building to rule out the possiblity of a further bomb threat.
