Austin Reed launches online video to drive sales

Menswear retailer Austin Reed is ramping up its online customer experience with the launch of a video on its website later this month.

The tailoring specialist has created a series of videos that aim to bring the heritage-led brand to life, improve customer engagement and drive sales. The content includes pieces on fit, suits and ties, style guides and “how to” films, such as how to tie a bowtie.

Working with video agency Adjust Your Set, it has also created a dedicated homepage video player that will allow customers to view the video, while a smaller player will be embedded on relevant content pages.

Steven Thomson, web content manager for Austin Reed Group, said: “We’re keen to build upon our traditional brand values with 21st century innovation to engage our customers.

“We knew video was the ideal medium to bring to life our brand stories and engage with our customers in a dynamic way.”

There is also additional content including a timeline of the brand’s history and the story of its Regent Street flagship store.

  • It's going to take a lot more than a few videos to fix the mess Austin Reed have gotten themselves in to.
