Bright Young Things back at Selfridges

Selfridges will continue to champion young British design talent this year with the return of its Bright Young Things initiative.

Nine UK fashion designers have been chosen to each create a window at Selfridges’ London Oxford Street store in which to showcase their collections.

The menswear designers taking part in the project include Shaun Samson, Astrid Andersen, William Richard Green and Alex Mattsson. The womenswear designers involved are Sorcha O’Raghallaigh, Adam Andrascik,  Maarten van der Horst, Alice Lee and MASC.

The department store will sell a selection of items from each of the designers, both in a pop-up store in its Oxford Street store and online.

Bright Young Things launches today and will run until the end of February. It debuted last year as part of Selfridges’ commitment to supporting young British designers.

Alex Iancovici, Selfridges’ buyer for contemporary womenswear, said: “It is important to focus on the young designers. They are the future.”
