Buying director parts company with Bank

Chanda Pandya, the buying director of branded young fashion chain Bank, has left the business after just eight months in the job.

Pandya joined the JD Sports Fashion-owned retailer from Jane Norman in November last year, replacing the long-standing Andy Scott, who left to start his own online venture.

Pandya was made responsible for all buying decisions and reported to Bank managing director Peter Alecock.

Pandya told Drapers this week that she had left the retailer to pursue a new opportunity but declined to comment any further on her departure.

No one from Bank was available for comment as Drapers went to press and it is not yet known whether Pandya will be replaced.

Bank, which sells young fashion brands such as Gio-Goi, Lipsy, Converse and Jack & Jones, has 74 stores.
