Christie disconnects to join Superdry

French Connection’s accessories sales manager Christina Christie is leaving her role for a post at young fashion brand Superdry.

She joins Superdry on February 13 as ladieswear global sales and product development manager. Her focus will be the Middle East and Asia and she will be based in London.

Christie’s appointment is expected to help drive further overseas expansion: Superdry’s owner, SuperGroup, has more than 100 licensed, franchised and standalone international stores, with sales from international markets continuing to grow.

Christie has been with young fashion chain French Connection since January 2007, presenting and selling its accessories collections to its UK stockists, international franchise and retail partners.

Before that, she was a key account manager at men’s young fashion brand Ben Sherman for two years. She was also previously a sales executive at women’s young fashion brand Miss Sixty.

French Connection declined to comment. It is not known who will fill her position.
