Debenhams launches Pippa Middleton-inspired dress range

Department store chain Debenhams has seized upon the publicity surrounding Pippa Middleton at the recent royal nuptials and is launching its own affordable Pippa-themed dress range.

The limited-edition dress collection will go on sale later this year and includes a cream gown, based on Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen’s design for Middleton (£170) along with three other pieces.

These include an emerald green silk version of the Alice Temperley-designed dress worn by Middleton for evening dinner (£99). There will also be a black version of sister Kate Middleton’s cream Alexander McQueen evening gown (£95) and a cream flower girl dress priced at £48.

A ‘Lady in Waiting’ list is being created by the department store for fans to reserve their purchases.

Russell Fish, head of occcassionwear design at Debenhams commented: “Like everyone we were glued to our tellies for the wedding and have been huge Kate and Pippa fans ever since.”

He added: “We have taken the best of the dresses and added our designer twist. Now you can get the Middletons’ look at High Street prices.”
