Debenhams marketing director to join Arcadia

Debenhams marketing director Alison Jones is set to leave the department store to join Arcadia Group.

Jones, the daughter of Sir David Jones, the former chairman of Next and JJB Sports, will join Arcadia department store Bhs to oversee plans to integrate Arcadia concessions such as Dorothy Perkins and Wallis.

It is unclear when Jones will leave Debenhams.

A spokesman for Debenhams said: “We have a strong team in place, we are of course on the lookout for a replacement but it is business as usual.”
