Debenhams will open a store in Vietnam as part of a wider plan to boost its international portfolio.
The department store group is set to open a store in Ho-Chi Minh City in two weeks.
Chief executive Rob Templeman told The Sun: “There’s 16 million people within striking distance of the store. It’s a big opportunity.”
Last month Debenhams acquired Danish department store business Magasin du Nord. Magasin du Nord has six stores, including a flagship on Kongens Nytorv is Copenhagen city centre and serves 20m customers a year.
Debenhams already has stores in 17 countries outside of the UK, including Iran.
