Whistles enjoyed a stellar Christmas trading period, with like-for-like sales for the six weeks to January 5 surging 26%.
The contemporary womenswear retailer’s performance was driven by the popularity of its silk dresses, leather jackets, knitwear and footwear.
Whistles added that reduced levels of discounting resulted in higher margins, with sales of full-price products up 75% during the period compared to the previous year.
It caps off a year of resurgence for Whistles, which recently reported double-digit growth over the nine months to October 31.
Whistles is due to unveil its new flagship store on London’s Dover Street later this month, as well as a new website.
