Exclusive: Retail boss swaps Outfit for Jack Wills

Outfit’s head of retail Ian Jones is leaving the business to join young fashion chain Jack Wills.

It is not known when Jones, who has been at the Arcadia-owned retailer since May last year, will leave his post to join the preppy-inspired chain.

It is understood Outfit, a concessions business that hosts retailers including Topshop, Topman, Burton, Miss Selfridge, Wallis, Oasis and Warehouse, is now on the hunt for a replacement. Arcadia declined to comment.

At Outfit, Jones was responsible for a team of five area managers covering 56 stores, many in out-of-town locations.

Previously Jones worked at value fashion chain New Look, where he held a number of positions including regional controller, senior operations manager, regional business manager and area manager.

Last week it was revealed that Jack Wills was axing its sister brand Aubin & Wills after just four years, to focus on the core part of the business.

All but three of the retailer’s 11 stores are expected to be shut as it looks to “capitalise” on the international opportunity for Jack Wills.
