High Street Fashion Week kicks off today

Marks & Spencer, River Island and Debenhams are among a host of retailers promoting London’s Oxford Street this week.

High Street Fashion Week, which kicks off today and runs until September 10, features public fashion shows and tutorials. Retailers will be up for awards in “The Glammys”, awards voted for by the public in categories including Dream Dressing Room and Best Autumn/Winter Look.

The retailers, which also include John Lewis, Evans and H&M, will also unveil new fashion labels. John Lewis will reveal exclusive collaborations with five international designers, including Terry de Havilland and Philip Treacy. The designers have created limited edition one-off designs which will be only sold from the John Lewis store on Oxford Street.
