The window of Monsoon is warm, welcoming and autumnal with large campaign images highlighting the key pieces for the season. Staff are friendly and greet shoppers as they enter the shop, there was also a strong staff presence on the shop floor to assist customers. Unsurprisingly Monsoon has run with the 1970s trend and has a large selection of printed tops, skirts and dresses. The shop is laid out well with everydaywear at the entrance and occasionwear at the rear of the store. It is also very neat and tidy and the changing rooms are spacious.
The product feels quite repetitive: many similar products placed next to one another have perhaps only a slight colour variation. It would be beneficial to have more variation. The prices are also quite expensive compared with other shops. For example, a cashmere jumper was £119 whereas Marks & Spencer’s retails at £100.
