New Look autumn 15
Value - Westfield Stratford, first floor
There’s more of a unique take on the season’s trends for autumn, and the key pieces feel of a better quality. A well made multi-pocket khaki army jacket (£29.99), fake shearling hooded parka (£49.99) and good-value jeans (£19.99) all come in a grungy, but wearable, palette that nods to trends without being too directional. The key camel Crombie coat is here (£69.99) but fairly flimsy, alongside a good spread of bomber jackets (a wool pinstripe stands out at £39.99).
Although well-merchandised mannequins appear in the windows and throughout the store, many of the clothes don’t fit, which looks bad. Skinny jeans are too tight and look silly, while one jumper has risen up like a crop top as it’s too small. Several items look very creased, while one jacket is covered in dust. Some areas are untidy and staff walked past a discarded hanger several times before picking it up. Staff also did not acknowledge customers, instead chatting at the back of the store.
