High Street Hit or Miss: New Look 8/10

New Look autumn 15

New Look autumn 15

Value- Westfield Stratford, first floor

Pros

Similar to Forever 21, which is located opposite, the mannequins in the window are wearing eye-catching ginger wigs. Giant campaign images behind them increase the impact. On entering the shop there is a strong monochrome-led display on the right-hand side, while products inspired by the 1970s are on the left. The shop is tidy, and the staff are friendly and greet shoppers when they enter. There is a good range of sizes on display throughout the shop and it is easy to navigate as categories are located together. The products are good value for money: a camel coat is £30 compared with a similar version of a similar quality for £55 at Dorothy Perkins.

Cons

The changing rooms are very small and need to be repainted. There are no seats, so shoppers have to place their items on the floor. The changing room staff are not very friendly or helpful to customers.
