Pros

Instead of a window Topshop has two large entrances at the front of the store, which opens up the space to shoppers. Because it has no windows the floor space has to show off key products effectively – and it does. Coats are displayed on mannequins at the front of the shop. Standout pieces include a berry-coloured plastic coat for £95. Campaigns shots throughout the shop show consumers how to wear the pieces. “Gigi loves” placards hanging above products or on their hangers promote the favourite pieces of Topshop campaign model Gigi Hadid. Topshop ticks the boxes for all the key trends of the season including 1970s and Victoriana. A Halloween display is a timely addition when we visit.

Cons

The prices are a bit expensive compared with products of a similar quality at other retailers. For example, a skinny polo neck at Topshop was £25 compared with Next’s version at £18. The staff are also quite rude when speaking to customers.
