Westfield’s Stratford City shopping mall in east London is the target of Drapers’ second Hit or Miss of the season, focusing on womenswear.
The autumn 15 product ranges are largely on trend, and most retailers tick the boxes for key seasonal styles such as 1970s, monochrome and Victoriana. All 27 retailers have ample displays of coats. Most shops are well merchandised and place matching accessories next to relevant product. Nearly all provided plenty of inspiration for shoppers in the form of colourful campaign images.
However, discounting was rife across all shops Drapers visited – Next was the only exception – in the week before the key half-term selling period and many retailers fell short on customer service.
