High Street Hit or Miss: Zara 7/10

Zara autumn 15

Zara autumn 15

Mainstream- Westfield, Stratford, first floor

Pros

The product in Zara hits all of the main trends for autumn 15, with a good mix of 1970s, camel, monotone separates and gothic Victoriana. The retailer offers good value for money: a floral printed dress at £30 is similar in style and quality to Warehouse’s version at £45. Many products look more expensive than their price tags – for example, a cream jumper with a silk-look overlay is just £30, but looks as though it would cost more. Zara also has well-priced basics: at £7.99 cotton T-shirts are cheaper than American Eagle’s at £10.

Cons

The window are surprisingly bland with four mannequins dressed in black. This is not particularly eye-catching. The changing rooms are small and dirty. The staff are busy and not very helpful or friendly towards shoppers. The shop in general is untidy and difficult to navigate.
