Like-for-like sales at H&M dipped 2% in December with the decline seen in November growing further.
In November like-for-like sales fell by 1%, however for December the drop in like-for-like sales grew to 2%.
In December total group sales at H&M increased by 8% compared to the same month the previous year.
The Swedish fast fashion retailer said that sales in December were impacted by a “negative calendar effect”.
H&M now has 2,809 stores, compared to the 2,490 it had at the end of 2011.
