John Lewis showcases autumn 10 ranges at first ever catwalk show

John Lewis has debuted a raft of new brands and designer collections for autumn 10 at its first ever catwalk show.

The department store will stock new brands including Danish label Bruuns Bazaar’s diffusion label BZR for autumn 10. It has also signed up Mint Velvet, the womenswear retailer created by Clarks chairman Peter Davies and the team behind the now defunct Principles chain.

Also on the catwalk at One Marylebone yesterday, John Lewis showcased Savile Row tailor Richard James’ Mayfair formalwear range for the department store.

After the success of their first collections for John Lewis, designer Celia Birtwell and Joe Casely-Hayford showed off their latest lines in collaboration with John Lewis.

Damsel in a Dress, the womenswear range created exclusively for John Lewis, also showed at the catwalk with each item handmade in 100% pure silk/cashmere mixes.
