Lonsdale has joined up with the London College of Fashion to find a student to design a spring 13 range.
Second-year students on the Active Sportswear course will compete to design a premium men’s or women’s lifestyle fitness collection for the Sports Direct-owned brand, using its heritage as inspiration.
Judges will select a winning collection to go into production, which will be sold in more than 400 Sports Direct stores.
Marketing manager Sarah Baker said she hoped the collection would take Lonsdale in “a more style-led direction that hasn’t been seen from the brand since the 1960s”.
Final judging will take place in June.
