Lily Allen opens fashion boutique in Selfridges

Singer Lily Allen has launched a temporary shop-in-shop in Selfridges’ Wonder Room Concept Store to showcase her new designer rental and boutique shop Lucy in Disguise.

The shop, Allen’s first foray into retail, will take permanent residence in a Covent Garden flagship store and on Selfridge’s womenswear floor during London Fashion Week.

The new venture is a collaboration between Allen and her sister, Sarah, and offers customers the chance to purchase or rent vintage designers gowns from the likes of Ozzie Clark, Bill Gibb and Yves Saint Laurent. The edit has been carefully selected by the sisters.

Allen will mark the launch of Lucy in Disguise by hosting an event in Selfridges Concept Store tonight to celebrate Vogue Fashion’s Night Out.

Allen says: “Finally- an idea that was basically a great store name, my personal wardrobe and a shared love of clothes is becoming a fantastic reality in the shape of two vintage stores.”

Allen has also launched a website for the brand at www.lucyindisguiselondon.com.
