Loewe brings Made to Order womenswear to London

Luxury leather goods label Loewe is to offer a bespoke womenswear service in the UK next year.

The Spanish bags and accessories specialist’s Made to Order collection – separate from its women’s ready-to-wear range available in Europe – will offer UK customers the chance to order bespoke pieces by booking an appointment at London’s Mount Street store, with goods shipped from Spain. The appointments will be held at an as yet undisclosed London location.

Made to Order clothing lets the customer select from a choice of colours, sizes, hides and designs.

Loewe launched a Made to Order service for its bags in September, allowing customers to create one-off pieces. Loewe is also sold in the UK through indie Dover Street Market, Harrods and Selfridges.

The Made to Order service is also available in France, Spain, China, Asia and Japan.

Meanwhile, Loewe has opened one extra retail space for the Christmas period where customers will be able to buy items from its men’s accessories line.

The brand opened a 269 sq ft temporary store in London’s Royal Exchange on November 14, which showcases the entire men’s accessories range including briefcases, satchels, belt, ties and cufflinks.

Loewe opened its 1,076 sq ft UK flagship on Mount Street in London’s Mayfair in March. The store, which occupies a 19th-century building that was previously an art gallery, houses Loewe’s women’s and men’s accessories collections. Loewe’s only previous UK standalone store, on Bond Street, closed in 2003.
